Office of Career Development
The career development part of the CCLD serves students and alumni through individualized in-person and virtual appointments, student organization and classroom presentations, recruitment and networking opportunities, and campus-wide career and professional development programs.
In other words, if you have a career question, we're the place to go! We have physical locations in Macon (Student Life Center, 261) and Cochran (Sanford 112). We strongly recommend scheduling an appointment on Handshake before visiting to talk to a career advisor. Once you have activated your Handshake account, go to "Career Center" and select "Appointments" to choose your day and time. We continue to offer virtual appointments to accommodate the needs of all students. For our Eastman, Warner Robins, and Dublin campuses, check the Events Calendar on Handshake to see when we will be on your campus, or feel free to schedule a time virtually or in-person at one of our physical locations.
We also host career development programs for students and alumni. Check out our semester calendar, but be sure to check Handshake and Facebook for updates and new opportunities.

Student and Employers: Connect with Handshake
We use Handshake to post all job and internship opportunities as well as career fairs and career events to MGA students and alumni. Current students and alumni can also schedule their career advising appointments through the Career Center portion of Handshake. New students should activate their MGA Handshake account during their first semester. Alumni are encouraged to create an account as well.
Employers who already have an account should add MGA to their list of approved schools. If your company is new to Handshake, go to mga.joinhandshake.com and choose "employer" to set up your account. After setting up your account, add Middle Georgia State University as one of your institutions so you can register for career fairs and post jobs and internships directly to our students. Contact us if you have questions about setting up an account.
