| Biography: | The experience of growing up in a military family allowed me to live and travel extensively in the United States and abroad. Some interesting places which I have lived include Seoul, Korea, Heidelberg, Germany, Idar-Oberstein, Germany, as well as Fairbanks, Alaska. Recent travels have coincided with my interest in the natural world and are defined by representational and abstract articulations of space through plein-air study in Scotland and the UK. |

| Teaching and Research Interests: | Research interests relate to both the internal and external aspects of the elements of space in our natural environment. This involves both plein-air and studio-based painting. I am also interested in how humans relate to urban and rural spaces. My teaching interest is to create highly effective studio art pedagogy for our students through the teaching of the principles of art and the elements of design using student-focused pedagogy in the areas of Painting, Drawing, 2d Design and 3d Design. |
