| Biography: | I have been working in the field of adult and child protection and risk for 40 years and have experience in both state government agencies and private not for profit as well as private for profit human services companies. Essentially, the company for which I am currently employed full time contracts with state agencies to provide the same services like child protection, foster care, adoption, therapy, in home crisis counseling, community based residential settings for individuals who have intellectual & physical disabilities and those who also have brain injury, services for medically complex individuals, and sex offender services. I am the Director of Investigations for Legal and Quality Improvement. My main duties are to develop the investigation training curriculum and to train our company employees in areas of internal investigation and also to conduct the more sensitive investigations for the company. On the personal side I am a fitness nut and I spend much of my free time looking for the next adventure. I like running, hiking, group fitness, boot camps, and in the past few years I have gotten hooked on the Spartan Races. A few years ago I completed my first Trifecta (for any of you who are familiar with these obstacle races) and now have completed a number of double Trifectas. My most challenging adventures to date have been a 200 mile Ragnar Relay race from Melbourne, Fla to South Beach, Miami and a 2 day Highlander backpacking trip in Big Bear California. I also am an animal rescue advocate, I have a number of rescue animals who live with me. |
