Dr. Neil Rigole

Biography:	Dr. Rigole has been involved in education and technology for over two decades. He began designing and programming websites for educational and community projects in the early days of the web and eventually left the classroom as a k12 teacher to become the first web programmer for Bibb County Public Schools (where he also trained teachers on how to use technology to enhance instruction). This background led him to positions in programming, training, and administration for the Technical College System of Georgia and the Georgia Board of Regents. Before coming to Middle Georgia State University, he was the Chief Technology Officer for the Monroe County Schools in Forsyth, GA where he had also been Director of Instructional Technology. His research interests include the use of gamification engagement strategies in eLearning, professional identity development, and the use of synchronous and asynchronous video in instruction.
