| Biography: | Ashleigh Scott, MSN, RN, is a nurse educator with experience in nursing education, academic leadership, curriculum development, and clinical practice. Her teaching experience includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction, with a focus on preparing nursing students to develop the knowledge, clinical judgment, confidence, and professionalism needed for nursing practice. Prior to transitioning into nursing education, Scott gained clinical experience in acute care, surgical nursing, and dialysis, including serving as a charge nurse. These experiences continue to influence her approach to teaching by allowing her to connect nursing concepts with meaningful clinical examples and real-world patient care experiences. Scott earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education from Columbus State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Nursing Education at the University of West Georgia. Her doctoral studies include nursing education theory, adult learning, scholarly writing, and quantitative research. As an educator, Scott is passionate about creating supportive and engaging learning environments that encourage students to think critically, connect theory with clinical practice, and grow into confident and compassionate nurses. Her professional interests include nursing education, curriculum development, student success, clinical judgment, simulation, faculty development, and the advancement of evidence-based teaching practices in nursing education. |
