Syllabi:
Teaching and Research Interests: The teaching-learning theories and associated principles that best guide my beliefs and educational practices are Cognitivism, Humanism, and Multiple Intelligences. I believe the teacher's roles are facilitator and demonstrator, while the roles of the learner are active participant and investigator. I think an optimal environment for teaching and learning is one in which both the teacher and learners feel safe and respected. In this environment, a teacher knows they have the respect of the learners and trust the learners to comply with classroom policies and behavior expectations.
My research interests include the student-to-nurse transition, women's health, postpartum, integrative, and functional medicine.
