• If you have questions about outside scholarship, third party/TA/TAP process, international payments, paying out of pocket or paying with an installment plan, contact the Bursar’s Office – information on payments can be found  here.

To view your balance: 

1. Log into SWORDS
2. Select “Student”
3. Select “Student Account”
4. Select “Account Detail by Term”
5. Select the corresponding term + submit

There are many ways to make a payment to MGA:

• Pay online (online payment is quick and simple)
  • Log in to your SWORDS account
  • Select the Student tab
  • Select Pay now
• Pay on campus (cash or check only)
  • Available on any of our 5 campuses
• Payment Plan
  • The  Payment Plan allows you to pay your charges over time
• Additional information regarding payments are available on the  Bursar's Payment Options web page .

Enrolling in a  payment plan  is easy:

1. Log on to SWORDS: mga.edu/SWORDS
2. Select the Student tab 
3. Click Student Account
4. Click Nelnet Payment Plan

You are then redirected to the FACTS Management Co NBS e-Cashier Automatic Payment Program for MGA where you will follow the steps to complete your online payment setup.

There are many different types of hold that could be on your account, the  Bursar’s Office Holds web page has information and instructions on how to resolve the Bursar’s Office holds.

Visit  www.mga.edu/register for information on meeting with an advisor, selecting your classes and registering for classes.

Visit the MGA Course Schedule to see offered courses.  You can search by course title, course type, campus, and subject.

Visit  www.mga.edu/advisors and select your major from the drop-down list to find your advisor’s contact information.

Visit the list of commonly-encountered holds, and reach out to the recommended point of contact for your particular hold.

During the add/drop period of the semester, you may add/drop courses via your SWORDS account. If you have a hold on your account, contact your Academic Advisor for assistance.

• If you don’t know your SWORDS login ID (your student ID card number), click on Banner ID lookup to find your ID number
• The first time you log into SWORDS, your PIN will be your 6-digit birthday (MMDDYY).

Log into the StarRez portal via your SWORDS account to find information about your on-campus housing.

All residential students are required to have a meal plan on the Cochran and Macon campuses for the fall and spring semesters. Meal plans are automatically added to the residential student’s account once a student has been assigned and confirmed housing. Commuters can choose to purchase a commuter meal plan.
