NBCOT's telephone number is 301.990.7979 and their fax number is 301.869.8492. After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition, most states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination.

Falsifying Information
Any falsification of information used for admission to the OTA program will be grounds for dismissal from the program. A person dismissed from the OTA program for falsifying information will be ineligible for admission to any other Health Sciences program.
