Full Name: Christy D. Faulk

Hometown & Residence: Eastman

Family: Husband, Ben Faulk; stepchildren, Taylor and Gavin Faulk; Yorkshire Terrier, Bella.

Job Title: Student Services Coordinator for the Eastman Campus.

Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southern University.

Year she began working for Middle Georgia State (MGC) … 2007.

What she does on the job: "I wear many hats! I assist students on a daily basis with anything ranging from registration to testing. I am the Student Government Association advisor for the Eastman Campus. I also coordinate and oversee student activities on our campus."

One thing people don’t know about Middle Georgia State is … "We have the only public
collegiate aviation flight school in the state on the Eastman Campus! This is the only college in Georgia that you can attend and get your flight training AND degree at the same time. We are often referred to as the 'best kept secret in Georgia.' I’m slowly starting to see that change since the consolidation, and that’s a good thing!"

One thing people don’t know about her is … "I began my career as a probation officer. I thought that’s what I wanted to do when I graduated. I landed a job in Oconee County as a probation officer with a private company in June 2006. Needless to say, it didn’t take long for me to figure out that was not the career path for me."

What she likes to do in her spare time is … "I love to worship, do Bible studies with my women’s group and hang out with my church family at Lakeside Assembly in Eastman. My husband and I oversee sound and media for our church’s worship band (Firebrand) and we travel with them a good bit on the weekends whenever they are playing at an event. My husband and I also love to travel and go on cruises!"

The one person she'd most like to meet is … "Beth Moore. Beth is an evangelist, author, Bible teacher and the founder of Living Proof Ministries, a Bible-based organization for women. I’ve completed several of her Bible studies for women and they have had a huge impact on my Christian walk. She is knowledgeable about the word of God, compassionate, transparent and funny! I would love to just sit and have a cup of coffee with her and talk about our savior, Jesus!"

What she likes best about working at Middle Georgia State is … "The people - students, faculty
and staff! I love coming to work each day! Since Eastman is such a small campus, we are all like
family. We know most of our students by name and they know us. I love knowing that when I come
to work each day, I can make a difference in someone’s life by just doing my job."
