Employment: “I am a Community Assistant with the Office of Residence Life on the Cochran Campus. I am also the Program Coordinator for our Living-Learning Communities.”

Degree Objective: “I am currently majoring in Business and Information Technology with a concentration in Management. I would like to at least earn my MBA, and potentially my Ph.D in Business.”

Activities:

SGA Senator - 2012-2013 SGA
Dublin Campus Director – 2013-2014
Organizer of Dublin Campus 5K Walk/Run for Autism Speaks
Scholarship Recipient

Career Goals: “I would like to take one of two paths. I would either like to own my own Mixed Martial Arts training gym and train MMA fighters and instruct self-defense for regular people, or I would like to earn my Ph.D and become a Business professor at a university. Both offer me the chance to follow my passion for teaching and helping others. One just advances with body, while the other advances the mind!”

He chose Middle Georgia State College because … “I chose MGA for a variety of reasons. It was close to home, it was affordable and they offered my desired degree. However, since coming to MGA on the Dublin and Cochran campuses, I have realized that there were a million other reasons to attend and stay that I hadn’t yet discovered.”

The one thing that surprised him about Middle Georgia State was … “Definitely the feeling of being right at home. Since I started at the Dublin Campus, and now Cochran, I have never once felt out of place. Whether it is with students, faculty, or staff, I have always been treated in a way that I feel my presence and opinion is valued and respected.”

His favorite professor is … “Dr. Troy Sullivan. He is hands down the best professor I have ever had. I have taken his course for Intro to Business and Accounting I and II. He is very experienced, knowledgeable, and super friendly.”

One thing people don’t know about him is … “I was almost on ‘Jeopardy’ in high school! I’m going to try out again for the college tournament.”

His friends make fun of him because … “They think I’m a hipster. I’m not! Looking at you Ashley and Scotty!”

The one person he’d most like to meet is … “John Lennon. He is my favorite member of The Beatles and an inspiration to me as a musician.”

Five years from now he sees himself … “Either finishing my MBA and opening my own business or working for MGA Residence Life and getting my Ph.D!”
