Cody Meek is a Warner Robins Campus SGA rep and aspiring digital designer.

Full Name: Cody Meek.

Hometown: “Colorado Springs, Colo., is where I was born, but I consider my hometown San Antonio, Texas.”

Residence: Warner Robins.

Family: “My family has given me so much support throughout the years, and during my time in college I could not have succeeded in the ways that I have if not for them.”

Employment: “I am a full-time student working part-time at Old Navy in Warner Robins.”

Degree Objective: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Digital Design and Media.

Class Rank: Junior.

Activities: Student Government Association for the Warner Robins Campus.

Career Goals: “My goal is to take the skills I have learned both collegiately and professionally and use them in a career where I can help people.”

He chose Middle Georgia State College because … “It was the best and most affordable option for me at the time. The Warner Robins Campus was within 5-10 minutes from where I lived, so the cost of commuting was much easier on my wallet.”

The one thing that surprised him about Middle Georgia State was … “How many wonderful people I have had the privilege to meet and know throughout my time here. I’ve met made plenty of acquaintances and even found a few good friends.”

His favorite professor is … “Dr. Terry Smith. Last semester I had a class with him in Human-Computer Interaction and through his teaching and subsequent discussions with him I began to realize that this was the field I wanted to pursue.”

His favorite place to study is … “The Bare Bulb Coffeehouse is where I enjoy studying the most. Usually whenever I have big exams coming up I’ll take a drive, park, pick up a smoothie and proceed to study.”

One thing people don’t know about him is … “I like small, fuzzy animals. Cats, dogs, bunnies, ducklings, baby seals, etc. Good thing I don’t have to hunt for food.”

His friends make fun of him because … “I’m a much sillier guy than I appear. I may look professional and reserved, but once people begin to know me they find out very quickly that looks can be deceiving.”

The one person he’d most like to meet is … “The only person who I want to meet, and will someday, is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There isn’t really much I could do except thank Him for all the blessings (spiritual and physical) I’ve received in this life.”

Five years from now he sees himself … “Pursuing a graduate program in Human-Computer Interaction or Ergonomic Design and working with people relatively close to the career field I’ve chosen.”
