Elizabeth Kringer plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue a political career.
Full Name: Elizabeth Nicole Kringer.
Age: 19.
Hometown: Covington.
Residence: Macon.
High School: Homeschooled. Activities included Y-Club, softball,political campaign volunteer, after school tutor and Seven Loaves food ministry volunteer.
Family:“I come from a family of 8 kids. Mom and Dad (Richard and Jackie Kringer) are my biggest supporters. Their love for me is unconditional and knowing the faith they have in me leads me to believe that nothing is impossible.”
Employment: Cycling instructor for Middle Georgia State Recreation and Wellness program.
Degree Objective: Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Class Rank: Junior.
Primary Campus: Macon.
Activities: “I am constantly volunteering for different political figures and recently finished an executive internship with U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson.”
Career Goals: “I’d like to be a judge, and also a state legislator to help better the state of Georgia. I also have a strong passion for political research I would love to be a political researcher for a station like NPR.”
She chose Middle Georgia State College because … “I absolutely love Macon. I knew ever since I was young that I wanted to be involved in Bibb County politics.When I visited what is now Middle Georgia State, the student showing us around described how politically involved he is, which solidified my decision.”
The one thing that surprised her about Middle Georgia State was … “How a college can feel like a second home. The professors and faculty are very supportive and strive for my success almost as hard as I do. I don’t think I could have found that kind of support from any other college.”
Her favorite professor is … “Niels Eichhorn. He had such a unique way of teaching about the Civil Rights Movement. After each class the students had to write blogs which was awesome. It gave us a chanceto express our opinions if we didn’t want to in front of the whole class.”
Her favorite place to study is … “In the warmer months I love to study by the campus lake. In the colder months I enjoy studying in the SGA office in the Student Life Center."
One thing people don’t know about her is … “I did my first compare-and-contrast paper in the third grade on James Madison and Aristotle.”
Her friends make fun of her because … “I have absolutely no sense of rhythm but I often enjoy breaking out my silly moves in public places as if no one was watching.”
The one person he’d most like to meet is … “Thurgood Marshall. He is such an inspiration to me. I hope to one day bring change to America like he did.”
Five years from now she sees herself … “Finishing up law school and running for state or local office.”
