Dr. Melinda Robinson-Moffett is elevating the University's Career Services office to an essential service for students and alumni.

Full name: Dr. Melinda Robinson-Moffett.

Hometown and Residence: "Lizella, just four minutes from the Macon Campus!"

Family: Dr. Keith Moffett, husband ("proud graduate of the former Macon State College"), chief administrative officer for Butts County; and four children, Christopher, Collinda, Nicholas and Alexis.

Job Title: Director of Career Services, joined Middle Georgia State in 2015.

Degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, Fort Valley State University; Master of Public Administration, Non Profit Management, Troy University; Doctorate of Philosophy, Higher Education Leadership, Mercer University.

What she does on the job: "I'm responsible for the development and implementation of career assistance programs for students and graduates on the Macon, Cochran, Warner Robins, Eastman and Dublin campuses. I work to build effective relationships with corporations, non-profits, government and community partners to identify internships and employment opportunities.

"Other duties include managing the career development budget to provide leadership for professional staff and the Career Ambassadors, who are student volunteers who support career development curriculum on each campus. I'm also working to expand collaborations between the Office of Career Services and other divisions within the University by working with the faculty, staff and administration."
