She chose Middle Georgia State University because ... "I chose MGA because it is close to home. I started my family early and my plans to go to college were put on hold. When it was feasible to return to school, MGA was the right choice for me. I also have had high school classmates that graduated from what was then Macon State and they were all satisfied with their experience."

The greatest thing she discovered about Middle Georgia State was ... "Two semesters after I enrolled, MGA gained its University status. I discovered that the possibilities here were, and still are, expanding."

Her greatest academic experience so far has been ... "Realizing that it's never too late. I am a non-traditional student and I was worried about my performance. The instructors challenge you to think outside the box to reach your highest potential. I have learned to never settle for less, and keep striving for greater."

To her, "greatness" means ... "Being the best YOU that you can be. You have to let your light shine to be a beacon for the people around you."

One thing people don't know about her is ... "In my spare time, I like to cross-stitch. I enjoy using patterns and creating my own designs. Cross-stitching is a way for me to relax."

In five years ... "I plan to be established in my new career as a financial analyst or
a Certified Public Accountant. I eventually want to return to pursue a master's degree In
Accounting or Finance."
