Middle Georgia State University Hosts “Color Run” to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

Middle Georgia State University's Schools of Information Technology, Education and Behavioral Sciences, and the Experiential Learning office are hosting the 2018 Big Fun Color Run, a 5K where runners get blasted with colored powder along the course. The object is to be as colorful as possible by the end of the course! The race takes place at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the University's "Georgia Premier" cross country course.

Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia. Participants can register at https://give.classy.org/BIGFUNCOLORRUN. Middle Georgia State students with ID can run the race for only $25 – a discount from the regular registration fee. Georgia Premier cross country course is located at 3450 Fulton Mill Road, Macon.

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides positive role models for youth in Central Georgia in the form of mentors who spend at least an hour a week one on one, encouraging, guiding, supporting the youth to help them realize their potential.

Nelbert “Doc” St.Clair, director of Program and Outreach for the Middle Georgia State School of IT's Center for Cybersecurity Education and Applied Research, is helping to organize the race.
