In 2019, Floyd served as project manager for the Wi-Fi Macon project, a $40,000 local grant to implement and install public Wi-Fi in downtown Macon as part of the city’s revitalization efforts. He served as co-principle investigator of a $1.3 million NSF multi-institutional award that resulted in building a state-of-the-art cyberforensics lab for the School of Computing at MGA.
