Max Gruver Act – Hazing Reporting
In compliance with the Georgia SB 85 "Max Gruver Act", beginning July 1, 2021, Middle Georgia State University will publicly disclose administrative adjudications of hazing or hazing related convictions.
In compliance with the Max Gruver Act, student organizations that have been found to be responsible for violating the hazing policy within the MGA Student Code of Conduct, specifically section 10 - Hazing Conduct Procedures, will include the name of any school organization involved, date(s) of occurrence, as well as a description of specific hazing related findings, sanctions, adjudications and convictions for any person or school organization.
REPORTING HAZING
Individuals can report acts of hazing via the Middle Georgia State University online by submitting a Behavior Incident Reporting Form or via the 24/7 Middle Georgia State University Ethics and Compliance Reporting Hotline: 1-877-516-3460.
REQUIRED DISCLOSURE
HAZING-RELATED CONDUCT CODE VIOLATIONS
- There have been zero (0) hazing-related conduct code violations since May 2021.
HAZING-RELATED CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS
- There have been zero (0) hazing-related criminal convictions since May 2021.
