About
The Peacock Gallery on Middle Georgia State University’s Cochran Campus is an educational visual arts exhibition space in which artists in the academy present peer-reviewed, creative research. Exhibitions focus on the work of art faculty and students from across the state, region, and country. The Gallery is a community art resource, and all exhibitions and events are free and open to the public.
Mission
The mission of the Peacock Gallery is to provide a peer-review incubator for the creative, intellectual, and professional growth of artists in the academy and to foster the visual and cultural literacy of our students and the community through transformative encounters with art.
CALL FOR ARTISTS--Extended Deadline!
Middle Georgia State University’s School of Arts & Letters and the Department of Media, Culture, and the Arts is accepting entries for a peer-reviewed group exhibition at the Peacock Gallery in Cochran, Georgia to run January 22, 2024 to February 23, 2024. Entries are limited to full-time faculty members and collegiate art students over the age of 18.
Middle Georgia State University's Design on the Edge juried exhibition seeks Graphic Design posters that respond to our liminal cultural moment of social tension, political upheaval, ecological threat, and disruptive opportunity through defiant acts of creativity.
Posters will be printed from supplied digital files at Middle Georgia State University to artists’ size and specifications for exhibition in the Peacock Gallery. Submissions should be sent to by December 15, 2023, and must include the following:
· Design on the Edge official application form
· High (Print) quality PDF file with all printers’ marks and bleed
Artists whose work is accepted to the Design on the Edge exhibition are encouraged to attend the exhibit opening and artists’ reception on January 22, 2024.
