Description:

 The Mathematics Academic Resource Center (MARC) provides free tutoring for students enrolled in math courses on the Macon and Cochran campuses of Middle Georgia State University. Student Tutors assist students through academic tutoring, study tips, and time management.

Major Duties:

  • Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring for face-to-face and online appointments.
  • Provide quality tutoring for Math 1001 and Math 1401.
  • Assist students with learning platforms such as D2L, WebAssign, and ALEKS.
  • Assist students with the TI-84 calculator.
  • Assist students with study techniques, proper note taking, and creating schedules.
  • Participate in tutor training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled in 6 credit hours per semester at MGA.
  • Earned a 3.00 GPA or higher.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Comfortable with basic technology.

Pay increases may be earned through participation in tutor training as well as availability to tutor a breadth of math courses.
