Job Summary: MGA Office of Financial Aid is seeking candidates for a Federal Work Study position on the Macon Campus

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to department (answering phones, scanning, copying, filing, faxing documents) as required by Financial Aid Office staff.
  • Provide support to Financial Aid Office staff with communication and outreach to assigned student population.
  • Assist at intake desk with student check-in and dispatch to appropriate staff members.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Provide one-on-one guidance to students completing various online financial aid applications and processes.
  • Answers general questions related to financial aid eligibility.
  • Communicates professionally on the phone, in-person, and email communication.
  • Comply with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and secures information sensitive in nature.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented, maintain acceptable work quality and productivity standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements: Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be enrolled at MGA for at least 6 hours, 12 hours preferably. Maximum work hours per week is 16. Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
