Painting Concentration

Middle Georgia State University’s Department of Media, Culture, and the Arts offers an exciting 21^st century painting concentration within a liberal arts college Bachelor of Arts curriculum. The concentration in painting addresses painting as a creative and a commercial medium. Preparing students for a career as a fine artist, a commercial artist or both. Courses cover figuration, abstraction, portrait, landscape, commercial painting, narrative painting, and mural painting. The painting concentration includes an embedded professional minor in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Film/Video, or Professional Writing to help prepare students for the working world or acceptance in a graduate MFA program.
