Accommodated Testing

ACCOMMODATED TESTING:

Please email TestingServices@mga.edu for support.

  • No faculty or staff office pick-up/drop-off. Exams must be emailed or sent via interoffice mail. Completed exams will be returned in the manner indicated on the Faculty Proctor Request Form.
  • Students must register for a determined appointment for their exam.
  • Students who miss the appointment time will be allowed to reschedule with permission from the professor. Students who arrive late may be required to reschedule with permission from the professor if adequate time unavailable.

Email communication is the most efficient form of contact.

We have limited appointments. We ask for a 10 day advanced notice of a required exam directly from professors.

Accommodated Testing Services are available on all five campuses. It is the responsibility of the student to identify the need for accommodated testing to his/her/their professor during the first week of class and notify Testing Services of their intent to utilize the Testing Center.

Testing arrangements must be made ahead of time by direct communication between the professor and Testing Services. Academic accommodations for courses at Middle Georgia State University may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extended times for tests
  • Modification of test format
  • Alternative exam testing
  • Quiet and private testing locations
  • Individualized and flexible needs based on student’s documented disability

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Each semester, the student must contact the Accessibility Services and request that their academic accommodations be sent to their instructors after completion of process. It is strongly advised that students make these requests as soon as possible during the first week of the new semester.

It is the student’s responsibility to notify the instructor and Testing Services of their desire to utilize their accommodations at the Testing Center for their assessments. Once notified, the instructor needs to contact Testing Services and complete the Faculty Proctoring Request Form.

Faculty Responsibility:

Once the instructor has been notified by the student of their intent to utilize the Testing Center for accommodated testing, the instructor must complete the Faculty Proctoring Request Form before any assessments can be scheduled.

Please follow these steps to request a proctored exam:

  • Select “Documents & Forms”
  • Select “Faculty Proctoring Request.pdf”
  • Download the pdf
  • Complete all requested information
  • Save the document and email as an attachment to Testing Services.

Once the form has been sent and received, Testing Center staff confirm receipt and will notify the student directly. It is then the student’s responsibility to register (button below) for the agreed upon established exam time.
