Favorite place on campus?

My favorite place on campus is the balcony overlooking the flight ramp on the Eastman campus. On the balcony, you get a captivating view of aircraft taking off and landing.

Fun Fact:

I'm a pilot! I earned my private pilot license on August 15th, 2018, private pilot - airplane single-engine land.

What was your favorite class in university?

My favorite class at Middle Georgia State was Private Pilot Flight Lab. You get to fly airplanes!

Take advantage of the tutoring opportunities available to all knights at Middle Georgia State University. Even if you are not failing, tutoring sessions can help you retain a high GPA.

How has Middle Georgia State University helped you achieve greatness?

Middle Georgia State University opened the door for me to realize the dream of flight. At the age of 15, I flew for the first time at an airshow and have loved airplanes ever since. However, actually becoming a pilot seemed out of reach for me. Thanks to the School of Aviation at Middle Georgia State University, now I am pursuing my dream of flying airplanes.

Middle Georgia State University is one of only two universities in the nation to operate our own air traffic control tower. The air traffic controllers located at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport in Eastman, GA, home to the School of Aviation, are actually Middle Georgia State University employees.

Middle Georgia State University has given me the opportunity to use my experience as an adult learner to encourage those who may think that it's too late to go back to school.

I am originally from Cochran, Georgia, but currently live in Macon.

Degrees?

I have a BFA in Theatre/Dance from Valdosta State University and an M.Ed. in Theatre Education from Columbus State University.

Favorite place on campus?

The Peyton T. Anderson Enrollment Center is, by far, my favorite because of the wonderful people who work there!

Fun Fact:

I am currently writing my first novel.

What was your favorite class in university?

My favorite class in college was psychology, taught many moons ago at Middle Georgia State University (Cochran Campus) by Professor Tom Caldwell. I have continued to be fascinated by the concepts that we studied and have longed to study it more in depth ever since.

Take care of yourselves. Your mental, emotional, and physical health are your greatest assets. Nothing else can be capitalized on without them.

I started my college career at Middle Georgia State University, so it essentially gave me the foundation that I have since built my professional life upon.

A life hack for freshmen is to start bringing stuff home a little at a time. It will make moving out a lot easier.

Something under the radar is Welch Hall on the Cochran campus. It is a great place to study or hang out with friends. It also has a full kitchen that is open to the students.
