Purpose


The MGA Staff Professional Development Program is designed to support employee growth, enhance institutional effectiveness, improve job performance, and promote career advancement opportunities for staff employees. The program provides structured oversight, equitable access to resources, and accountability for the use of professional development funding.

The Staff Professional Development Program offers financial support, providing up to $1,000 to assist with professional development costs, materials and supplies, and other direct educational expenses.

Staff Council Professional Development Committee


The Staff Council Professional Development Committee (SCPDC) will oversee the administration of the program, review funding requests, ensure fairness and consistency, and assess annual program outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Staff Council Professional Development Committee will:

  • Review and approve funding requests.
  • Establish annual funding priorities.
  • Monitor budget allocations.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of resources.
  • Recommend policy updates.
  • Prepare quarterly reports summarizing participation and outcomes.
