Can my transcript be sent to you electronically?
MGA accepts the following transcripts electronically: * Georgia high school transcripts may be sent electronically through GA Futures and Parchment Exchange. * College transcripts may be received electronically from institutions that use eScript or Parchment Exchange.
How do I get the 62 and older (senior citizen) waiver?
In order to receive the senior citizen waiver, you must:
- Meet all admissions requirements
- Be a resident of Georgia
- Be 62 years of age or older, at the time of registration
- Present a birth certificate or other written comparable documentation of age, at the point of applying to the institution, verifying age eligibility
- Register for courses during the late registration period
How do I submit a copy of my permanent resident card?
We prefer you bring your card to the office; however, you can make a copy of the front and back and send it to the Office of Admissions at 100 University Pkwy, Macon, GA 31206 or take a picture of the front and back of the card and email it to
How is the High School GPA calculated?
For traditional freshmen, MGA calculates the GPA on the 17 College Preparatory Curriculum (Carnegie units: 4 English, 4 Math, 4 Science, 3 Social Science, and 2 Foreign Languages). We calculate GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Is there an Admissions Interview Required?
Interviews are not required for the routine undergraduate application process. However, MGA reserves the right to interview any student prior to or following enrollment.
Non Traditional Student
Non-traditional students are those who have been out of high school for five years or more and typically have not earned any college credits. These adult students must apply on line and submit all required documents (high school transcripts or GED certificate).
Transient Applicant
Students wishing to enroll at MGA as a transient must submit an official application and must have their home institution send an official transient permission to the Office of Admissions. Other documents required will include an immunization form and lawful presence document. Any other documents required, as determined by review of the application, will be listed in the students file. Students can check their application status by using the Application Status Check.
What is an official document or transcript?
Official documents are issued from the originating agency such as the high school, college registrar, testing center. Typically official transcripts also have an embossed seal which perforates the paper. Documents that arrive in personal envelopes or are previously opened are not considered official. Faxed or scanned documents are not acceptable.
What is MGA's CPC requirement?
As part of the admission process and in compliance with the Board of Regents Policy, each student will be evaluated to determine satisfactory completion of the 17 units of the University System of Georgia Required High School Curriculum (RHSC). Why does my file say I need a final transcript?
If you are accepted pending a transcript, it is because the transcript on file does not contain all terms of enrollment. Usually that means you are currently enrolled somewhere else and must send a final transcript at the end of the term
