Admissions
I don’t have a degree business. Will I be accepted?
Yes! We accept applications from individuals with any undergraduate degree that was obtained from an regionally accredited institution. However, students must either complete a 3000-level management course or have relevant business experience with preferred supervisory/ management skills evaluated by the Dean or by his designee .
Do I have to have a certain GPA in order to be admitted into your program?
Yes. In order to be admitted, you will need to meet one of the following GPA requirements:
- A 2.7 or greater GPA and a bachelor's degree from Middle Georgia State University.
- A 3.0 or greater GPA and a bachelor's degree from another regionally accredited institution.
- A 2.5 or great GPA, a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution,and either two year's of appropriate work experience or a minimum GMAT score of 400.
Note: GRE equivalent scores are also accepted.
Cost
Classes and Curriculum
Can I finish in one year?
Yes you can! Our class offerings are setup so that it can be done in one year if you begin classes in the summer semester and carefully plan which classes you take each semester. However, if you work full time, it won't be easy. We recommend that you take two years to complete our program.
What kinds of classes will I take in this program?
Our program is setup with seven core classes and three concentration classes. Here are the seven core classes:
- ACCT 5100 - Managerial Accounting
- MGMT 5200 - Management Information Systems
- MGMT 5300 - Decision Sciences
- MGMT 5400 - Managing in a Global Environment
- MGMT 5600 - Leadership and Organizational Behavior
- MGMT 5700 – Marketing Management
- MGMT 5900 - Strategic Management
What concentrations do you offer?
We offer the following four concentrations. Each concentration contains 3 courses.
- Aviation Management
- Organizational Management
- Sport Management
- Supply Chain Management
What are some typical positions graduates have after they graduate?
Our graduates have leadership positions in a variety of organizations including government agencies, non-profits organizations, for-profit organizations, sports organizations, and airports. More specific positions include human resource managers, health care administrators, DOD contractors, non-profit administrators, logistics managers, maintenance personnel, and Robins Air Force Base military and civilians positions.
