Join us for the Spring 2026 Health & Wellness Festival, a weeklong celebration dedicated to supporting your overall well-being. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to prioritize their health through a vibrant lineup of interactive wellness activities, workshops, movement sessions, and educational events.

This festival offers an opportunity to nurture your mind, body, and soul while engaging with the MGA community. Designed to promote balance, reduce stress, and encourage healthy habits, each session provides a welcoming environment to recharge, reconnect, and refocus.

Monday, April 13

warner robins campus

Walk with our CBO
  • Time: 9:00 AM
  • Location: Outside Oak Hall
  • Start your day and week with movement and a mindful break by joining us for Walk with Our CBO. This casual, wellness-focused experience invites students, faculty, and staff to connect with campus leadership while enjoying fresh air and light physical activity. Walk alongside our Chief Business Officer, Amanda Funches, in a relaxed setting that encourages conversation, community, and well-being — one step at a time. 
yoga with sound therapy
  • Time: 1:30 PM

  • Hosted in partnership with: Lindsey Justice and Urban Sky Yoga
  • Experience deep relaxation and renewed balance in this gentle yoga session enhanced with calming sound therapy. This beginner-friendly class guides participants through slow, mindful movements and breathwork while soothing sound elements — such as singing bowls, chimes, or soft rhythmic tones — create a peaceful, immersive atmosphere. Together, these practices help release tension, quiet the mind, and promote overall well-being. No prior experience is needed; come as you are and enjoy this restorative mind-body experience.

  • Curious about the world of bees? Join us for an informative introduction to beekeeping, perfect for beginners and anyone interested in starting their own hive. Learn the essentials — from understanding bee behavior and equipment basics to hive care, honey production, and best practices for keeping bees healthy and thriving. Whether you’re exploring a new hobby or simply fascinated by pollinators, this session will give you a solid foundation to get started.

Tai Chi with the president
  • Time: 3:30 PM
  • Location: Outside SLC Amphitheater
  • Hosted in partnership with: Grace Place Yoga & Art Studio and Urban Sky Yoga
  • Experience a gentle, grounding wellness session with President Blake that blends the slow, flowing movements of Tai Chi with the soothing vibrational tones of sound therapy. This beginner-friendly class focuses on relaxation, balance, and mindful breathing, helping participants reduce stress and restore a sense of calm. As you move through purposeful, meditative sequences, immersive sound elements — such as chimes, singing bowls, or soft rhythmic tones — enhance your overall sense of peace and connection. No prior experience is needed; come as you are and enjoy this rejuvenating mind‑body practice.

Enjoy guided instruction, simple pattern prompts, and plenty of art materials as you create your own meaningful mandala. This relaxing, mindfulness-centered session promotes stress relief, self‑reflection, and positive self‑esteem, with an optional showcase for completed artwork.

  • Hosted in partnership with: MGA Library and Staff Council
  • This drop‑in event offers employees a much‑needed break from screens and technology. Faculty and staff are invited to step away from their computers, phones, and other digital devices to rest, recharge, and reconnect in a relaxing, low‑pressure environment. Participants can socialize or unwind through simple wellness activities — such as jigsaw puzzles, card games, word searches, journaling, drawing, coloring, reading, and crafts — or simply enjoy quiet time without distractions. Employees are welcome to bring their lunch and stay for as long as they like.

  • Celebrate being an MGA Knight during this fun, community focused campus event! MGA Day brings students, faculty, and staff together for a day filled with connection, school spirit, and engaging wellness activities. Enjoy a festive atmosphere featuring a live DJ, food trucks, t-shirts, and a variety of games and movement sessions. Join the excitement of the kickball tournament and 4x4 sand volleyball tournament or simply relax and take in the lively campus energy. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or stay for the whole event, MGA Day is the perfect chance to unwind, enjoy good company, and celebrate what makes our university special.

Participants are encouraged to bring a towel, and faculty and staff will receive a meal voucher valid at the designated MGA Day picnic food station.
