The mission of Student Care
To provide focused care and support to individual students and their needs by providing guidance, resources, and referrals both on and off campus to promote student well-being and campus safety.

Student Care provides a wide array of services to students struggling to meet their basic needs and overcome obstacles that may hinder their ability to succeed at Middle Georgia State University. Some of the services we offer are listed below.

Student Care Programs
The Assessment & Care Team (ACT) is an interdisciplinary team that works to address behavior concerns that have the potential to impact the safety and well-being of the campus community. If you are worried about a student, you can make a report to ACT by completing the Behavioral Incident Reporting Form.
Embark Georgia is a University System of Georgia initiative that works to connect students who have experienced foster care and/or homelessness with a network of support at the collegiate level in order to increase college success. Knights’ Help is a resource for all Middle Georgia State University students who are looking to find assistance. You can view a list of commonly asked questions or issues students are facing and see what support services are available at Middle Georgia State University to assist with those issues.

What’s New with Student Care
Dining Dollars Program
Starting fall of 2024 Student Care is offering a dining dollars program to commuter students who are facing food insecurity and who have also experienced homelessness and/or foster care in the past. We can provide 20 students with $500 of dining dollars. If you are interested or meet the criteria above, please reach out to the Student Care Case Manager at .
Single Stop
Starting August 14th, Student Care will provide access to Single Stop, a 15-minute state and federal benefit screener that will allow students to see if they are eligible for assistance programs. Single Stop also provides a local resources finder for community resources.

While Student Care assist all students some of the populations we serve include:
- Students who are experiencing basic needs insecurity
- Students who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
- Students who have experienced foster care
- Students with financial insecurity
- Students experiencing a mental health crisis
- Students who have had a death in the family
