Web Accessibility Statement
Middle Georgia State University is committed to ensuring accessibility of its websites for people with disabilities. MGA strives to meet all guidelines and standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act.
Accessibility Features
Skip Navigation Link
Keyboard users may bypass repetitive elements at the top of each page by immediately tabbing to the first interactive item, which is a “Skip to Main Content” link. This allows users to jump to the main section of the current page.
Page Structure
Main navigation menus are consistent across MGA website pages. The site uses a standardized template, comprised of the following sections:
- A header section that includes the main navigation
- A main content area
- A sidebar menu
- A footer
Most content and features are operable using only the keyboard.
Template Design
All pages and content may be enlarged using standard browser controls or screen magnification software.
MGA sites use a minimum of JavaScript to display content on the site. Pages should be useable when JavaScript is disabled in the browser.
A responsive style sheet that applies the appropriate template for users loading pages on mobile devices. Pages should be usable when style sheets are disabled.
