Salesforce Certifications
MGA’s Department of Information Technology is collaborating with Salesforce to allow students to transfer their skills from the company's free online learning program (Trailhead) into college credits. Salesforce certifications allow students to grow their resumes and highlight industry-specific skills. Salesforce is providing Trailhead for free to give learners the opportunity to earn credentials for mastering aspects of the company's CRM platform. Trailhead offers students free training via guided learning paths called Trailmixes, customized learning paths that include Salesforce instructional modules and projects designed to help students earn globally-recognized credentials.
MGA students can earn college credit by completing Salesforce certifications for the roles of Administrators, Architects, Developers, and Designers. Students who earn TWO certifications in those specific Salesforce roles will be eligible for six hours of college credits for an experiential learning course at the university (ITEC 4770 – Experiential Learning Practicum).
Students can receive up to 9 hours of elective credit for certifications.
