South Piedmont Community College
Tuition
South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) transfer students will pay Middle Georgia State’s in-state tuition plus institutional and technology fees. Currently, online tuition is $150 per credit hour. If a student takes a full load of 15 hours (five classes), the cost is $2,250 in tuition plus $296 in fees for a total of $2,546/semester.
Accreditation & Designation
The BS in Information Technology program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
Through its Department of Information Technology, Middle Georgia State has been designated:
- A National Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Education & Awareness Branch
- A National Center of Digital Forensics - Academic Excellence by the U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center
MGA B.S. in Information Technology -- SPCC Transfer
The program includes seven concentrations: Cyber Forensics, Cybersecurity, Critical infrastructure, Integrated Digital Media & Game Design, Network Technologies & Administration, Software Engineering, and Web Applications Development. Eligible SPCC students interested in Middle Georgia State’s 4-year IT degree program will be able to seamlessly transfer their coursework (60 plus hours) and complete their degree online.
